In a newly revealed court document from the Seoul High Court, the judge stated that Min Hee-jin, former CEO of ADOR, had sought ways to escape HYBE’s control and manage the label independently potentially taking NewJeans with her.
The ruling stated:
“Since around 2023, former CEO Min expressed dissatisfaction with the terms of the shareholder agreement and looked for ways to exit HYBE’s management scope or independently govern ADOR.”
It further concluded that Min Hee-jin’s actions were seen as an attempt to dismantle the foundation of the integrated structure that previously supported ADOR, its members, and HYBE.

This is a significant moment in the ongoing legal dispute between HYBE and Min Hee-jin, which centers around the future of NewJeans, one of the top-performing K-pop girl groups. The court’s language suggests that Min Hee-jin’s intention went beyond simple disagreement it involved actively exploring a full breakaway.
Observers believe this ruling may be just the beginning of a much larger storm. The court’s conclusion strengthens HYBE’s position in the main contract dispute and hints that more serious developments could soon follow, including possible management rights battles, artist contract challenges, or industry shakeups.

Netizens are losing it after this part of the ruling went public — especially since she kept saying she was protecting the group and didn’t try to leave first. But this shows she was already plotting a separation even before the HYBE conflict exploded publicly.
Comments on Pann Nate:
- That’s probably why Min Hee-jin is desperately trying to keep the KakaoTalk messages from being released, lol. If even the chats come out and reveal the truth, her last hope for swaying public opinion would fall apart, lol.
- HYBE seems to have more materials and evidence than expected. I’m also curious who the witnesses are.
- How can anyone see this as just venting…?
- Ms. Min lost miserably after going head-to-head with old-school men.
- Are Minjins really denying it even after seeing the KakaoTalk messages, lol? They’re saying it’s edited or fabricated, lol. Then why not just release it and expose HYBE’s alleged manipulation? Why try to hide it? If HYBE were acting like Min Hee-jin is now, they would’ve been torn apart already.
With the main lawsuit still ongoing, people are now wondering what Min Hee-jin’s next move will be — or if HYBE will hit back harder now that the court sided with them on key points.
